Afra is an experienced, well-rounded corporate attorney with a passion for helping businesses grow. Having worked in a wide variety of industries, Afra has supported banks, private fund sponsors, management companies and other corporate clients on a variety of business law-related matters, including mergers and acquisitions, fund formations, contract negotiations, and regulatory compliance. She is experienced in working on complex deals and guiding clients through the implications of complex federal and state regulations.

Outside of Bernstein Shur, Afra maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing clients in family law cases in Probate Court.

In her former life, Afra was:

• A paralegal in the Trial Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office
• Captain of the Women’s Soccer Team at Clark University
