Provostial Seed Grants for Interdisciplinary Work
Creative Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CASSH)

The Office of the Provost, in collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences, is launching a seed grant program to support collaborative efforts between artists, social scientists, humanists and scientists at Stony Brook University (SBU).

The goal of this program is to catalyze the formation of communities pursuing scholarly activities in grand challenge areas including, but not limited to, Digital Futures, Public Humanities, Ethical AI, Sustainability, Critical Health Studies, Health Disparities, Global Migration, and Carceral Studies. The teams are encouraged to pursue activities that will lead to applications for externally funded projects.

The program will fund up to two multidisciplinary teams, each receiving up to $25,000.
