Founding Full-Stack Engineer

Summas is on a mission to build a new way for individuals and institutions alike to transact safely and securely in Web3. We increase the safety and usability of Web3 through wallet integrations, policy controls, validated transfers, and automated intelligent transaction protection for the next billion users of crypto.

We are currently looking for a technically competent and enthusiastic mid to senior-level software developer/engineer to join us as one of our founding engineers. You should be capable of taking responsibility for ownership of the full development lifecycle, all the way from product, design, and implementation, to testing, deployment, and monitoring. We value strong communication skills and the ability to get things done in a collaborative environment. We are a new organization looking to grow fast. Primary Responsibilities

• Create a safe and secure user experience by building, testing, and shipping features to production
• Architect and develop core web, mobile, and blockchain applications including all modules through accounts, user management, policies and rules, and transactions.
• Collaborate with the team to scope out work and understand client needs and requirements
• Bring ideas to our team, giving you the opportunity and freedom to help make key decisions for our product

Requirements

• B.S. degree in computer science or related area (M.S. degree preferred), or related experience
• 4+ years of full stack development experience in any field, where you continuously learned how to write clean, reliable, and highly maintainable code
• 2+ years of development experience in web3 (wallets, smart contracts, blockchain, transactions, dApps, etc.)
• Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (ex. React, Vue, Svelt) and backend technologies (ex. Node.js, Python, Rust) and data storage technologies (MongoDB, Postgres, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud services, container technologies, APIs, and microservice architectures
• A genuine interest in blockchain technology and well versed in the crypto industry and other blockchain projects (NFTs, DApps, DeFi Protocols, etc.)
• Have the skills needed to prototype fast, find out what is the 80-20 solution and iterate to solve the remaining 20%
• Tireless problem-solver, acting autonomously, taking ownership, actively proposing solutions, good communicator, being a team player, having a growth and startup mindset
• Are motivated and passionate about the startup, no-corporate-BS way of life which also means ruthless execution at speed.
