Song Premiere: Thomas Csorba Embraces the Journey on 'When You Can't See the Highway End'

Texas singer-songwriter Thomas Csorba looks inward on the intimate "When You Can't See the Highway End," a song that Csorba says came together at just the right time.

"I was looking through some of my old archived posts on Instagram the other day, and I saw that I posted a video of myself playing a verse of this song back in 2017. It kind of blew my mind that it's taken this long to finally grow and get out of the nest," Csorba tells Wide Open Country. "Back when I first started working on this song, I'm not sure what I wanted to say, but over the years, I've seemed to always come back to it, tweak it, let it breathe, rinse and repeat. The song now has this spirit of self assurance in the fact that my journey is no one's but mine. In order to face hard questions and to grow, it takes a willingness to start by looking inwardly and trust yourself. That's what this song has become to mean for me, and I hope to be singing it as a reminder to myself for years to come. "

Csorba, whose lyrics have drawn comparisons to Townes Van Zandt, has been writing and performing since his early teens, cutting his teeth in iconic Texas venues such as Austin's Cactus Cafe and Houston's Mucky Duck.

Csorba released his full length debut album From the Foxhole in 2017. Last year, he released his self-titled sophomore album, produced by Beau Bedford of The Texas Gentlemen.
