Last month we saw three men graduate from Helping Up Mission Up Mission, our partner in fighting homelessness and addiction in the form of Spiritual Recovery in Baltimore, MD. These men went through a year of Self Discovery, Awakening to God, Confidence in Healthy Living, Education, and effective Relapse Prevention. Each month we hold one big party for all of our guests with birthdays. It's an amazing opportunity to love and walk alongside them and celebrate a day that otherwise may be ignored. This is Juan, one of our Next Level residents and volunteers in the kitchen, celebrating his late April birthday . We are engaging our volunteers, staff, and guests in an activity to learn what dignity means to them! Individuals contribute to this activity by writing their answers on our "What Dignity Means to Me..." banner in our dining room each day. This is such a great opportunity to take time to meditate on our value of dignity and come together to learn what it means to those we serve and those who serve alongside us. #Dignity #Homeless #Volunteer
