On Dec. 21, We Honor Those We’ve Lost and Renew our Resolve to Fight Injustice

On the first day of winter and the longest night of the year, people in our communities will die without a home. Each Dec. 21, we gather for Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day to memorialize and honor our family, friends, patients/clients, and community members who experienced the injustice of homelessness.

Please join the the National Consumer Advisory Board, the National Health Care for the Homeless Council, and the National Coalition for the Homeless on Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. CST for a virtual ceremony to remember those we’ve lost and renew our resolve to eradicate the injustice of homelessness. The ceremony will feature people with lived experience, providers, and youth to unite us in remembrance of lives, in recognition of challenges, and in resolve to achieve transformative change.
