Galloway, NJ – Stockton University (8-1, 4-1 NJAC) ran their winning streak to five straight games with a 76-63 victory over William Paterson University (4-5, 1-4 NJAC) on Saturday afternoon.
DJ Campbell (Vineland/Vineland) topped all players with 21 points on the day.

Stockton took an early lead, but a 7-0 run by the Pioneers erased it to give the visitors an 11-8 edge at 12:34 of the first half. William Paterson extended the lead to six at 23-17 with 8:19 remaining before the Ospreys scored 20 of the next 25 points to take a 37-28 advantage into the locker-room.

Kyion Flanders (Wildwood/Wildwood) and
Kadian Dawkins (Eastampton/Rancocas Valley) with five points each, followed by
Rynell Lawrence (Millville/Millville) with four markers, set the pace during the run.

Stockton's defense was outstanding in the half forcing eight turnovers that led to 16 points in the 20 minutes of play. Campbell scored 10 points with
Jonathan Azoroh (Ewing/Ewing) adding eight markers.

The second half saw the pace quicken as both squads pushed the tempo. Stockton held the lead, but the Pioneers cut the margin to one point at 48-47 with just over 13 minutes to play. That was as close as they would come as the Ospreys pushed out on a 17-4 run over the next five minutes for a 65-51 margin, with Dawkins scoring 10 points in the span.

The lead never got below eight points the rest of the way and Stockton came away with the 76-63 victory.

Dawkins had an efficient game with a season-high 18 points to go with four rebounds, four assists and four steals with just one turnover in 32 minutes of play. Lawrence came one point shy of a double-double with nine points and a game-high 10 rebounds. The Ospreys dished 15 assists on their 26 made baskets in the contest.

Shawn Summers, Jr. topped the Pioneers with 16 points and seven rebounds.

Stockton will play in the Randolph-Macon Suyes Yellow Jacket Classic in Ashland, Va. on December 19 against the University of Mary Washington. The Ospreys will face either host Randolph-Macon or Merchant Marine the following day in the Tournament.
