Warhawks with a Dominating Win over UW-Stout, 79-46

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men's basketball team came out of the gates firing on all cylinders, cruising to a huge 79-46 victory of UW-Stout. 

The Warhawks opened up the game 28-2 run, with the first 10 minutes of the game seeing Stout make 1 out of their 25 shots. The Warhawks continued to extend their lead to 34-5 by the under 8-media before Stout started making a few shots on their end. 

The Warhawks entered the break up 41-20. After the short rest, UW-Whitewater got right back to work, scoring 11 straight points to open the second half. Keeping their foot on the gas, UWW took a huge 41 point lead with around 10 minutes left. 

When the final buzzer sounded, the Warhawks came away with the 79-46 victory over UW-Stout. 

Trevon Chislom (McFarland, Wis./McFarland) led the Warhawks in scoring, putting up 17 points. On the defensive end, Chislom also swatted away two shots. Jameer Barker (Racine, Wis./St. Catherine's) added in 12 points of his own, along with two assists and three steals. Carter Capstran (Franklin, Wis./Franklin) rounded out double-digit scoring with 10 points of his own. 

Delvin Barnstable (Sheboygan, Wis./Sheboygan Lutheran) surpassed the 1000 career points mark on his second bucket of the night. He scored 459 points at Marian before he became a Warhawk and has scored a 545 points wearing purple. Barnstable finished with 9 points in the contest. 

Rebounding was a team effort for the Warhawks tonight, with five different players securing five or more rebounds. 

The Blue Devils were led by Sam Skaggs, who finished with 12 points. The Warhawk defense also kept Brody Fox in check. Fox, one of the nation's leading scorers, was held to just 6 points in the contest. 

UW-Whitewater men's hoops will return to action next Wednesday, as the match-up against UW-Stevens Point for the Garding against Cancer game, tip-off is set for 7 PM.
