Recommended Devices List

Headsets

For the best possible experience with Microsoft Teams Voice, ITS recommends that you always use a headset when on a voice call or audio/video conference. The use of a headset ensures that the person(s) you are communicating with can hear you clearly and without background noise. Using the microphone and speaker in your computer or webcam instead of a headset will generate background noise on your calls.

These headsets are certified as compatible with Microsoft Teams. Though most bluetooth or USB headsets will work with Microsoft Teams, these headsets will give you the best experience with Microsoft Teams.

Phones

If there is a need for a phone, these devices are required replacements for Cisco phones and conference devices. Phones should be limited only to situations where one is required.

All phones require a compatible power supply.

Phones models purchased that are not on this list will not work with UNCG’s implementation of Microsoft Teams. Additionally, there are multiple versions of these phones. If the phone is purchased from outside vendors, make sure to buy the Microsoft Teams version. Other versions will not work with Microsoft Teams.
