Climate Champions

Acknowledging every day actions in PSU departments

The PSU Climate Champions Program is designed to promote and recognize resource conservation and stewardship within PSU departments, as well as to support the goals of our Climate Action Plan. The program includes an assessment that departments use to track their progress on sustainable best practices for the workplace.

The assessment outlines best practices in: energy & water conservation, transportation, waste reduction, purchasing, and event planning.

Bronze, 25-35 Points

Want to become a Climate Champion?

Step 1: Take the Survey

Complete the Climate Champions assessment, available as a survey on Google forms or as a downloadable pdf. While you are working on the survey, gather input from your coworkers. If you have questions, feel free to reach out to us at sustainability@pdx.edu.

Step 2: Meet with a CSO Representative

After your department submits the assessment, a representative from the Planning & Sustainability Office will contact you to review results, offer follow up support, and deliver prizes.

Step 3: Get your Decal & Prizes!

All Climate Champion departments will receive a wall/window decal with their level of recognition (bronze, silver, gold). Additional prizes can include recognition on the sustainability social media pages, highlight in the sustainability E-newsletter, and prize packs with green goods!
