e-Summer School Program

Registration for the 2024 e-Summer School Program will tentatively open on Monday, April 22 at 10AM for TDSB students and Monday, May 6 at 10AM for NON-TDSB students.

Course offerings were updated on Tuesday, March 19.  Thank you.

Please note, e-Summer and Continuing Education (in-person and online/remote summer school) are two separate departments.  Please visit the Continuing Education website HERE if you have questions about a ConEd summer course.

TDSB e-Summer School is a free, high school credit program for Ontario students who wish to pursue secondary school courses online! TDSB e-Summer School offers dozens of online courses available in the July and August sessions. The e-Summer School program is open to secondary students from the TDSB and across Ontario, aged 13-20. Please note: For International Visa Students there is a $1500 CDN fee for each course. Please complete this form if you are an International Visa student.

Our popular summer online program is offered in two sessions: July and August.  The program is primarily asynchronous (learning does not occur in real time) with direct teaching for about one hour/day and teachers available for the rest of the school day to hold office hours, small group sessions, individual tutorials and respond to student questions via email.

Please note that although e-Summer courses are asynchronous, they are not self-paced courses. Assignments and evaluations are to be completed and submitted according to the due dates established in the course outline.  Students are expected to log in and commit 6-7 hours daily to engage in and complete work independently.

Important dates July Session and August Session

The Toronto District School Board reserves the right to cancel classes. Students will be contacted in advance of the e-Summer session if the course they have selected is cancelled.
