Galloway, N.J. – Five Stockton University track & field competitors earned All-Atlantic Region accolades from the
United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for the 2019-20 indoor season. To qualify, competitors needed to post a mark that ranked in the top five in the region in an individual event or top three in a relay.
Edward Dennerlein (Chatham/Chatham) earned an All-Atlantic Region nod in the shot put for his fourth career all-region honor. Men's teammate
Hunter Daly (Florence/Florence) snagged all-region status in the high jump for the first time.
Three members of the Stockton women's team who qualified for All-Atlantic Region recognition were
Jessica McRae (Keyport/Carteret) in the triple jump,
Susann Foley (Tabernacle/Seneca) in the high jump and
Jeanmarie Harvey (River Edge/River Dell) in the pole vault. McRae, Foley and Harvey each collected all-region kudos for the first time.
Dennerlein ranked second in the Atlantic Region and 12th in the nation with a shot put of 16.95 meters that qualified him for the upcoming NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships He won the shot put five times this season, including at the NJAC Championships. A senior transfer, Dennerlein previously notched three all-region honors while competing for Rutgers-Newark.
Daly tied for fourth in the Atlantic Region with a best jump of 2.00 meters this season. The junior posted three victories in the high jump during the indoor campaign, one of which came at the NJAC Championships.
McRae had the top triple jump in the Atlantic Region, a distance of 11.88 meters that broke her own school record and ranked sixth nationally. The senior will join Dennerlein at the NCAA Championships this weekend. McRae won the triple jump at the NJAC Championships for one of her three victories on the season.
Foley ranked fifth in the Atlantic Region and tied for 22nd nationally with a high jump of 1.65 meters that earned her a spot in the NCAA Championship field. The sophomore won three times this winter, highlighted by a victory at the Atlantic Region Championships last weekend.
Harvey tied for fifth in the Atlantic Region with a top pole vault of 3.50 meters during the year. The sophomore recorded three wins in the event, with one coming at the NJAC Championships.
