Applications to the Middle French Immersion program may be submitted, on behalf of students in the English program, the year the child is in Grade 3 for entry in September of Grade 4. It is entirely an online process. All communications will be sent via the email address provided in the online process. Please check your email regularly, including junk mail and spam folders.
The entry point to Middle French Immersion is Grade 4. Currently, eligible applicants were born in 2017.
IMPORTANT DATES:
Application process opens: January 5, 2026 in the morning
Deadline for applications is: January 30, 2026 at 4:00pm
Note: Applications received after the deadline will be marked late. There is no guarantee of admission for late applicants.
Please note:
An application must be submitted for each child, including twins/triplets/multiples. There will be an opportunity on the application to indicate if there is a sibling applying to the same school in the same program (not in a graduating year).
Offers of placement will be ongoing throughout the weeks and months following the close of the application period. Please check your email regularly, including junk mail and spam folders, and follow all instructions. You must take action to reserve a seat by the deadline.
While every effort will be made to seat students in the school identified as their area French Immersion school, this is not always possible. In cases where the number of applications in a given area is greater than the number of allotted program spaces in the school, students may be redirected to schools with available program space.
Placements are made based on the child's primary home address of record prior to the application deadline. If the address changes between the application deadline and the fall of the entry year, there is no guarantee of admission in the new area.
Late applicants will be held on a local school waitlist and considered subject to available space until the end of September of the entry year (i.e., Grade 4). There are no waitlists in non-entry years.
