Diverse perspectives and points of focus come together within a multidisciplinary environment of intensive hands-on learning at the KU School of Architecture & Design. Aspiring designers and creative leaders from around the world come here to prepare for professional life and work toward goals bigger than themselves.

Your past One Day. One KU. gifts are impacting current students and introducing more young people to careers in design. Your support today will continue to have a meaningful impact.

Help increase opportunities for current and future students
Due to the support of alumni and friends, we are now able to offer more scholarships and fund more student success initiatives than ever before. Notably, our MSP Architecture and Design Scholars programs provided scholarships to 45 students during the 2022-23 academic year. Your gift to the School of Architecture Unrestricted Fund can create even more opportunities by increasing funding for student organizations, lecture series, career workshops, and scholarships.

Help more young people discover design careers
Partnering with professional organizations and Kansas City public schools on both sides of the state line, we have developed workshops at metro-area high schools and brought students to campus. Ongoing initiatives include the NOMA-Kansas City Pipeline Project Architecture Summer Camp, KU Design + Pathways to Design Summer Camp with the Hickman Mills School District and Prep KC, and full scholarships to our pre-college KU Design Camp. Summer design camps in St. Louis and Wichita are in development. Your gift to the Architecture & Design Diversity Alliance will help introduce more students to the power of design.

Watch support grow for current and future students
Your support during this year’s One Day. One KU. will directly enhance educational experiences for current ArcD students and help expose more talented young people to careers in design. A gift to the Architecture & Design Community Outreach Fund will help the school grow and expand relationships with local and regional high schools, communities, foundations and firms.

MYNSTER SUMMER DESIGN CAMP SPONSORSHIP CHALLENGE

KU Design Alum Bob Mynster is challenging other alumni of the school to join him in sponsoring a student who wants to attend the school’s Summer Design Camp in 2024. When five donors contribute $1,000 (each), Bob’s sponsorship of a student will be unlocked. Help Bob and the school bring high school students to KU for a weeklong immersive design experience. Be one of five donors to help make this opportunity possible through a gift of $1,000 to the School of Architecture Unrestricted fund.
