At the University of Utah, we define sustainability as the integrated pursuit of social equity, environmental integrity, and economic security for current and future generations. This presentation will describe ways that sustainability concepts are integrated into academic research across disciplines and provide tools for students to better understand and articulate how their work may link to sustainability.  I will highlight strengths of sustainability research at the University of Utah, share resources that are available to help students gain more interdisciplinary experience with sustainability concepts and practice, and we will explore some of the benefits and challenges associated with doing this type of work.
