Staying Connected After Your AmeriCorps Service | Greetings from OneStar,
Happy AmeriCorps Week!
Thank you for your service with AmeriCorps! Whether you are currently serving or completed your service a few years ago – we want to ensure you have the support and connections you need to continue thriving. That’s why we’ve partnered with Service Year Alliance—the home of AmeriCorps Alums—to provide resources and opportunities designed specifically for you.
Joining the AmeriCorps Alums network is completely free, and will allow you to gain access to valuable opportunities such as:
The AmeriCorps Alums Segal Leadership Fellowship, a prestigious opportunity to join the Eli J. & Phyllis N. Segal Citizen Leadership Program, including a $2,000 cash award for leadership and professional development. Applications open each summer.

You don’t need to take any action to get started—you’ll automatically be subscribed to The Scoop After Service newsletter, giving you updates along with opportunities to engage in additional AmeriCorps Alums activities of your choice. If you’d prefer not to be connected, you can opt out by completing this opt-out form by March 25, 2026, or by unsubscribing directly from the newsletter at a later date.

Interested in launching an AmeriCorps Alums chapter in your community? |
The AmeriCorps Alums Nationwide Chapter Call is a chapter-led space designed to reconnect alumni chapters across the country and offer informal support, shared learning, and collaboration. Each month, we gather for a structured conversation that includes a welcome and recap, updates on national advocacy efforts, chapter updates from across the country, and a dedicated Problem of Practice segment where we tackle real challenges in creating and sustaining alumni chapters together.
If you are leading a chapter or thinking about starting one, this is a space to learn how other chapters engage alums, build momentum, and navigate common roadblocks. It is practical, collaborative, and grounded in peer to peer support. If you'd like to join, email Cristina Flores (AmeriCorps SATX Alum chapter) at cristina@newpoliticsacademy.org or Cali Moore (AmeriCorps Alums DC) at cali@americorpsalumsdc.org to get invited to the monthly meetings!
