ACDS & CFAAC - Nonprofit Organizational Financial Management (In-Person)

 

 

Anne Arundel Community Development Services (ACDS) and the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County (CFAAC) invite nonprofit board, staff, and volunteers to attend Workshop #4 Nonprofit Organizational Financial Management Workshop.

This workshop provides sound financial management practices that can lead to accurate financial record keeping so that the resources are used in furtherance of the organization’s charitable purposes(including financial reporting, cash flow projections, internal controls, etc.)

This event is open to the public and is $25* for the in-person workshop and includes refreshments. Parking is free.
In-person workshops are limited to 30 people. Workshop registration is limited to 2 participants per organization.  

There will be a free virtual version of this workshop on Wednesday, June 28th.

*Scholarships are available for nonprofits who want to attend in person but need financial assistance.

Ariel Goldin, CPA, Presenter

Ariel is the Director of Client Relations at the Goldin Group. Ariel manages Goldin Group’s client acquisition, ongoing marketing processes, and client relations. Ariel specializes in assessing and addressing nonprofit financial service and technology needs.  Ariel also works in researching nonprofit financial service and technology trends while reworking and implementing service and process efficiencies within nonprofit finance departments. Ariel’s work experience includes serving on CFO teams for various nonprofit organizations. Ariel’s prior work experience includes fund accounting until he joined Goldin Group in 2019. He graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Elon University and is a licensed CPA in Virginia and Maryland. 


With generous support from the Anne Arundel County's Office of the County Executive, ACDS and CFAAC are presenting a series of five nonprofit skills workshops designed to help nonprofits gain the knowledge they need to sustain and grow their organizations. Each workshop is offered twice — once in-person and once virtual.  The workshops include Grant Writing and Fundraising Readiness; Program Outcomes and Evaluation; Succession Planning; Nonprofit Organizational Financial Management; and Leadership Mindset: Leading Teams with Intentionality Around Justice, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. All five in-person workshops will also be offered as a virtual workshop the week after the original in-person workshop.
