Capital Campaign Report

Every year since 2007, GivingMatters.com has produced a Middle Tennessee Capital Campaign Report, but as we grow alongside of technology, we are excited to share that this report will no longer be published only once annually!

With the hard work of our GivingMatters.com team and our software provider, NeonOne, starting in late 2022, the data in this report will be compiled by data pulled directly from GivingMatters.com every time it's processed, in real-time, from the nonprofit data submitted to GivingMatters.com from over 2,000 nonprofits in Middle Tennessee. (A time stamp will be viewable in the bottom right hand corner of each digital copy of this report, allowing users to know when the version of the report they are viewing was compiled and saved.)

The purpose of the Capital Campaign report is to:

  • Announce new campaigns to local funders
  • Give donors an update on funds raised-to-date in ongoing capital campaigns
  • Provide information on recently completed campaigns
  • Announce preliminary plans for capital campaigns in the next three years

How can my organization's capital campaign be listed?

You can make sure your organization's information is current under the "Capital Campaign" section of your GivingMatters.com profile found on the Financials>Basic Info tab and that your GivingMatters.com profile is complete and up-to-date. Because of this new feature, no GivingMatters.com Approved organization will ever have to wait to share the news of their Capital Campaign in our Capital Campaign Report. The moment your data has been submitted through the site and our GivingMatters.com team has approved, your current Capital Campaign information is included in the report!

What constitutes a capital campaign?

A capital campaign, for the purposes of this report, is defined as a fundraising effort beyond annual operating or program budgets. A capital campaign is focused on the purchase of a permanent asset (i.e. land, building, major equipment) or a major renovation project. Endowment campaigns may also be part of a capital campaign.

When does the Capital Campaign Report go out?

Starting in 2022, the moment an organization submits an update and it's approved, it will be available for viewing by our foundation and corporate partners via this website. While we encourage that our partners check back frequently for the most up-to-date information, we are still happy to provide printed copies to our foundation partners upon request.
