Lutheran Hour Ministries, the Lutheran Hour Ministries Float Committee, and the Petal Pushers are proud to announce the 2025 Lutheran Hour Ministries Float, based on the Tournament of Roses Parade theme of "Best Day Ever!" "Behold! Jesus the Savior is Born" The float features 2 heralding angels calling viewers to the birth of Jesus and to the church where Jesus may be found. The stained glass windows of the church will feature best days of Jesus' life. LHM invites you to meet or meet anew-the source of hope and joy that cannot be taken away. Come, see, hear, and experience God's goodness. If you're interested in helping with the production of the float, please visit petalpushers.org!

LHM was humbled to host DCE (Director of Christian Education) students from Concordia University Chicago yesterday. The students traveled around St. Louis to become more knowledgeable about some of the many organizations and acronyms within our Synod. Thank you for visiting!

What is Best Practices in Ministry? Answer: Camaraderie and conversation enveloped in a conference to encourage ministry support workers as they reach out with the gospel of Christ. Lutheran Hour Ministries was honored to be part of the annual Best Practices conference hosted by Christ Church-Lutheran in Phoenix. The staff and volunteers of all ages extended gracious hospitality to their many guests. The video encapsulates some of the wonderful experiences LHM had at the event. We are grateful to all who support our mission of Bringing Christ to the Nations—and the Nations to the Church!

Lutheran Hour Ministries appreciated the opportunity to be with National Association of Directors of Christian Education (NADCE) participants earlier this month at the annual conference in Houston. We hope you enjoyed LHM devotional writer Dr. Kari Vo's talk "Learning to Live with God: Bible, Prayer, & Action" and spent some time with her at the LHM table! If you are seeking Daily Devotions or Lenten devotions we encourage you to visit lhm.org/devotions today. #prayer

For the 73rd time in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses 135th year running, Lutheran Hour Ministries was humbled to present the 2024 Lutheran Hour Ministries float, "Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord" to the world on January 1, 2024. Hope! Joy! Praise! Heralding trumpets announce the good news: that the Lord brings the universal song of victory, the hope of life eternal to his people. We raise our voices and instruments in celebration, making a joyful noise to the Lord for fulfilling the promises of sending His Son, Jesus, to redeem us from all our sins. We invite you to meet-or-meet anew the source of hope and joy that cannot be taken away by anything the world throws at you. We are grateful to the Southern California District LLL, Lutheran Hour Ministries Float Committee, and the Petal Pushers for carrying on a mission to provide a Gospel witness to viewers everywhere, from the 5.5 mile parade route in Pasadena to televisions and computers around the world. We are indebted to Dick & Lynn Gast and their daughters for their continued vision, tireless efforts, and boundless energy as this is their 33rd year spearheading the Lutheran Hour Ministries float. God Bless and Happy New Year! LHM.org

At Lutheran Hour Ministries, we believe that God is sending us on a mission of hope and love. The goal of this mission is to share the Gospel with all who would hear and to equip other Christians to do the same. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, is the Word of God made flesh. Thank you for joining us in this mission of sharing the eternal hope we have in Him. Merry Christmas from LHM.

The South Dakota District LCMS invited LHM to present at their P.A.S.S. It On! “Inspiration for Mission and Ministry” Conference in November. Lutheran Hour Speaker Rev. Dr. Michael Zeigler and Rev. Dr. Chad Lakies offered presentations, partnering with the District to energize and equip God's people for service and outreach. LHM appreciates sharing the Word and resources in collaboration with others. We are humbled by the engagement and response. "Everyone who attended enjoyed the opportunity to learn and be together in fellowship. Michael and Chad were amazing! The information and presentations were tremendous but also their interactions with our participants were a delight. I also greatly appreciated their input/evaluation afterwards."-Rev. Paul Winckler, South Dakota District LCMS

"Make a Joyful Noise Unto the Lord!" Dick and Lynn Gast (pictured) recently paid a visit to the decorating barn to see the 2024 LHM float progress. The Gasts stumbled upon float decorating in 1985 and haven't looked back since, leading the float building process for LHM's float and many others for over 30 years. Want to catch the decorating bug? Visit petalpushers.org to learn more and sign up to help! We still need assistance this year.
