Morehouse College announced Friday it would be severing its relationship with Papa John’s Pizza, which has a location on the college’s campus in Atlanta, due to the founder’s use of the N-word.

"Due to a recent racial slur made by Papa John’s founder John Schnatter, Morehouse College is suspending its campus dining relationship with Papa John's effective immediately,” Morehouse spokesperson D. Aileen Dodd said in a statement emailed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The statement also said Morehouse, a historically black college, is “exploring all options” to remove the Papa John’s franchise located on campus.

Schnatter, who stepped down as CEO of Papa John’s last year, resigned as chairman of the board of the company Wednesday after admitting to using the racial slur during a conference call in May.

The AJC reported Friday the Atlanta Falcons, Atlanta United and the Atlanta Braves had indefinitely suspended their relationships with the company.
