#LASD Transit Services Bureau, Arrest Attempted Murder Suspect, #Los Angeles 

Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Transit Services Bureau (TSB), and deputies assigned to the Special Assignment Unit (SAU are continuing to investigate the attempted murder involving 30-year-old male suspect Darnell Marshon Bray.

The incident occurred on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the intersection of 119th Street and Wilmington Avenue in the city of Los Angeles. 

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at approximately 12:08 p.m. suspect Bray was located and arrested for attempted murder of a Metro bus operator. 
 
Darnell Bray was booked at the South Los Angeles Sheriff’s Station for attempted murder and has a bail amount of $2,000,000.  He will be arraigned on Friday, April 26, 2024, at Compton Courthouse. 

Transit Services Bureau Captain Shawn R. Kehoe stated “The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Transit Service Bureau is dedicated to serving the public transit community.  We are specifically trained in public transit policing and place service to riders and Metro employees above all.  When incidents occur, our deputies and detectives work diligently to ensure the quick capture of suspects who pose a threat to the Metro system.  I am proud of our deputies ‘collaborative efforts in bringing this suspect into custody.”
