Spring Creative Intern

CREATIVE

The Creative internship is more hands-on and personal than our general Development internship. You'd work directly with Jeremy Garelick (CEO, Writer-Director-Producer) and Matt Sacca (Head of Development) on priority projects, including but not limited to:

- Script reading/coverage

- Script breakdowns

- Poster design

- Creating promotional content (TikToks, edited commercials, etc.) for our internship programs

- Pitch deck construction

- Virtual location scouts for upcoming films

- Actor and Director shortlists for upcoming films

- Creating American-High-movie memes for our social media

Within this internship, there is also an opportunity to primarily focus on the advent of artificial intelligence (AI) in film and conduct research in that field to help American High streamline its business processes, while still completing supplementary projects like the ones listed above. If that sounds compelling to you, please let us know!

You would meet with us via Zoom once a week to go over the previous week's projects, and to receive a debrief on the upcoming week's project as well.

The Creative internship is highly competitive, so when applying for this position, we request a resume and any supplemental material you feel might help your application (short/feature scripts, short/feature films, etc.). The number of work hours required is determined by your school's respective internship credit rules.

If you're interested in applying, please submit your resume in the Handshake portal. The AH team will review all applications by early December (or late December for DePaul students) and confirm internships for those who secured the position.

After you receive confirmation that you will be interning with us, please email programs@americanhigh.com explaining that you're a Spring 2024 Creative Intern, and you'll receive a follow-up email with everything you'll need to sign and submit in order to get started. Matt Sacca will then be in touch to schedule a weekly meeting time for our recurring zooms.

Best of luck with the application process!
