TACOMA, Wash. – Ava Cholakian played a pivotal role in the University of Puget Sound's 2-1 triumph against the University of California Santa Cruz on Tuesday night.
Cholakian delivered the game-winner, propelling the Loggers to victory. In the 25
th minute, Cholakian skillfully evaded the defense and unleashed a powerful shot from 20 yards out, finding the bottom left corner of the net to open the scoring.
UCSC managed to equalize just before the end of the first half with a successful penalty kick.
With time running out the Loggers entered a decisive phase in the 74
th minute,

Megan Schellhase recorded five crucial saves to help lead the Loggers to victory.
The Loggers will be back in action at home this weekend taking on Whitman University on Saturday, Sept. 16, and Whitworth University on Sunday, Sept. 17, kickoff for both matches is set for noon.
