Ticketing company Eventbrite is expanding its Nashville presence with a sales team.

Ryan Mullins gets help from Nashville Eventbrite manager Durand Duin during a training session in 2014.

The San Francisco-based company opened a Nashville office in Cummins Station in 2014 and said it is looking for a larger office space to hold its growing staff.

The local sales team, led by Erin Tomlinson, will focus on small to medium-size events.

"Nashville is home to tremendous talent across the board: engineers, customer support professionals and sales professionals alike,” said Emily Couey, Eventbrite vice president of people. “Our engineering and customer support teams in Nashville have been extraordinarily successful and we feel honored to be a part of the growing Nashville technology community. After considering several different cities, we’ve determined Nashville is hands down the best place to expand our team, and look forward to the greatness to come from having dedicated sales resources on the ground.”

Eventbrite has processed more than $5 billion in ticket sales for concerts, community gatherings, festivals and other events. In 2015 the company provided services to more than 2 million events in 180 countries.

“The Nashville technology community is growing quickly, and Eventbrite is an integral part of that growth,” said Courtney Corlew, director of communications for LaunchTN. “Eventbrite continues to thrive here, and that means exciting new career opportunities for local Nashville talent in addition to highlighting Tennessee as a fantastic place to grow your business."
