Amy Grant‘s sugar-soaked 1991 gem “Baby, Baby” has been amped up and reimagined for the singer’s first-ever album of remixes. “In Motion: The Remixes” will be released Aug. 19 via Sparrow Records, and is slated to include other Grant pop classics like “That’s What Love Is For” and “Every Heartbeat.”
“I never could have anticipated that these songs from an earlier chapter in my life could be filled with such renewed energy and fresh production,” Grant said.
Producers on board for the project include Chris Cox, Tony Moran, Moto Blanco, 7th Heaven and Dave Aude, who took on “Baby, Baby,” Grant’s signature pop hit. “I am humbled and honored that these amazingly talented producers have leant their gifts to my songs,” she said. “They have given me reason to want to get up and dance again!”

A superstar in the world of Christian music, Grant holds the record for the most No. 1s on Billboard’s Christian Albums chart, with 16 chart-toppers in her career. She most recently led the list with 2013’s “How Mercy Looks From Here.” It also peaked at No. 12 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart — her highest-charting set on the list since 1997.
After establishing herself as a star of inspirational music in the early 1980s, she crossed over to mainstream pop audiences with Billboard Hot 100 hits like “Find a Way” (No. 29 in 1985) and “Wise Up” (No. 66 in 1985). She broke through big time in 1986 with the duet “The Next Time I Fall,” with Peter Cetera, which climbed to No. 1 that year. Five years later, Grant topped the list on her own with her likely best-known pop single, “Baby Baby,” which spent two weeks at the top. In total, Grant has earned 12 hit singles on the Hot 100, with five of those reaching the top 10.
