Sit back and enjoy an immersive 4D short film featuring thrilling 3D and multi-sensory special effects that make you feel the action on the screen!
Our 50-seat 4D theater shows two films throughout the day with screenings every 15 minutes. Multi-sensory effects vary by film but can include bubbles, mist, scent, snow, wind and more!
$4 per person | Included in the Unlimited Ride Pass and Adventure Pass!
Tickets are available for purchase at the Zoo's Entry Village and at the theater.

The Bear and The Squirrel 4D
Enchanting and action-packed, The Bear and the Squirrel 4D follows a selfish young bear and a cute, plucky squirrel as they encounter a host of other animals on a magical tour of different habitats.

Wild Animal Carousel
Take a spin on one of the 39 brightly-colored, wooden animals, including a giant anteater, clouded leopard and more. The pavilion features carvings by Zsolt Hormay, the master carver who helped create the Tree of Life at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
Cost per rider: 1 attraction ticket ($2, available near the ride)
Wilderness Express Train
Climb aboard and take a short journey into wooded territory and undeveloped terrain. The train ride, ideal for kids up to age 5, requires no tracks and chugs along a small circular path surrounded by trees and nature. It’s the perfect ride for the young and young at heart.

Up-Close Animal Experiences
Lorikeet Landing - Enjoy a real nose-to-beak experience and stroll through the beautiful aviary. Exhibit entrance is free. Guests may feed the lorikeets for 1 attraction ticket ($2). During our summer hours (mid-March through mid-October, Lorikeet Landing closes at 5:15 with nectar sales ending at 4:30.
Kangaroo Kickabout - Enter the home of red kangaroos and interact with them! Guests can get a close experience by walking a path through the habitat. While guests must stay on the pathway, kangaroos are free to wander the exhibit.
Critter Encounters - Ever wanted to take a selfie with a goat? Make that dream happen and get up close with some of the Zoo's most personable animals. The exhibit is home to our Galapagos tortoises, goats, alpaca and a variety of birds.
Jungle Gym
Nashville Zoo's Jungle Gym is the wildest place for a high-flying, high-swinging adventure! Come swing like a gibbon, run like the zebras and prowl around tiger-style in the 66,000-square foot playground. Jungle Gym features a 35-foot tall tree house structure, super slides, swings, and giant snake tunnel.
Now Open: Thisbe & Noah's Promise Park. Thisbe & Noah, a nonprofit organization based in Nashville, partnered with the Zoo to create a new section within the Jungle Gym that will incorporate equipment for all types of disabilities. Learn more here.
Please note: The “tot lot” (padded toddler area) and a small piece of the original playground structure remain closed as additional repairs need to be made in those areas.
Grassmere Historic Home
Listed on the National Register of Historic Homes, the Grassmere Historic Home was built in 1810 and is the centerpiece of the Grassmere Historic Farm. The home is open seasonally for guided tours, but you can explore the Historic Farm grounds year round, including the heirloom garden, family cemetery, and the Morton Family Exhibit.
