Several months after Hurricane Helene devastated parts of Western North Carolina, Duke students traveled to Asheville to support recovery efforts. Organized by Jewish Life at Duke in partnership with NECHAMA, a Jewish disaster response organization, the trip focused on hands-on rebuilding. From installing insulation to hanging drywall, students rolled up their sleeves to help restore a second-story unit severely damaged by flooding. #hurricanehelene #hurricanerelief #nechama #asheville About Duke University Established in 1924 in Durham, North Carolina, Duke University is one of the world’s leading institutions for education, research, and patient care.
