About us

St. Luke’s exists to awaken disciples to reveal the Kingdom and reveal the Kingdom to awaken disciples. The believers of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church will reach as many people as possible in Central Florida introducing them to eternal life in Jesus Christ. Together, we commit to worship, connect, care, and grow as Disciples, to serve in revealing the Kingdom of God. St. Luke’s Core Values: At St. Luke’s center is the love of Jesus Christ. St. Luke’s values Christ-Centered: Acceptance: We recognize that Christ’s love has no boundaries. Hospitality: We welcome all to share Christ’s love through help, hope, and healing Community: We claim a sacred place where Christ’s love unites all to support and care for others while nurturing a personal relationship with God. Discipleship: We believe we are called to be living representatives of Jesus Christ and bring others to know God’s mercy, justice, grace, and love. Service: We respond to Christ’s love and God’s call, by sharing our time, talents, tithes, spiritual gifts, and resources.

Updates

  • Thank U to everyone who supported this year's Rummage Sale, hosted by St. Luke's United Women in Faith! Whether you donated items, volunteered your time, or shopped at the sale, your generosity helped make it a huge success with a grand total of $12,456 raised! These funds will support a number of missions, including the upcoming Sleep in Heavenly Peace build day at St. Luke's on May 3, the Easter Banquet at the Orlando Rescue Mission to purchase shoes for their Good Friday foot washing, Eight Waves (a non-profit that provides tutoring for children who struggle with reading), and a missionary named Ratisha Washington who started in the Circles West Orange program.

  • St. Luke's recently hosted "Parenting Hacks," an insightful workshop on the ages and stages of childhood that offered parents practical tools to navigate each phase with confidence. Behavioral and Occupational Therapists, Jeanie Krejcha and Chris Stubblefield, gave valuable guidance on understanding children's development, managing challenges, and fostering strong relationships. Attendees walked away with actionable strategies and a renewed sense of encouragement in their parenting journey. Thank U to all who attended, and to our facilitators for providing this meaningful support to parents in our congregation!

  • Thank U to everyone who joined us for our Men’s Breakfast last month! We had a great morning of connection and conversation, reflecting on the question: What have you done to tell the people you love how you feel about them? Sometimes, we don’t realize how much our gratitude can lift others up—so just do it! Register for our next Men’s Ministry Breakfast event on March 27 at st.lukes.org/breakfast - we hope to see you there!

  • Over the weekend, 50 women gathered for the Joyful Journey Women's Retreat, presented by St. Luke’s United Women in Faith, which addressed many spiritual and physical aspects vital to women of all ages! Pastor Melissa, along with two extraordinary speakers, covered topics that challenged them to reflect on their unique journey as Christian women, and how to sustain their journey with healthy living tips while finding joy, along with inspiring ways to offer love and hospitality to others. They enjoyed fellowship, lunch, and chair yoga, and ended their time together with a meaningful Communion service conducted by Pastor Melissa, tying together how we sustain ourselves while connecting with others through the Eucharist.
