PELLA—The Central College triathlon squad has earned the Team Scholar All-American Award from the Collegiate Triathlon Coaches Association and USA Triathlon.
           
The honor is given to any squad with a cumulative semester team grade point average of 3.20 or higher. Coach Jennie Hedrick-Rozenberg's team posted a 3.45 mark last fall.
           
The team is in its first season of intercollegiate triathlon competition and is among 36 colleges and universities nationwide that sponsor the sport.
