A 10-year-old student at St. Josaphat Parish School was grazed by a bullet from a gun brought to school by an employee that discharged inside the building, police said Monday.
The incident occurred April 5 at the school, 801 West Lincoln Avenue, but was not reported to police until April 17, according to a news release.
The employee was arrested and the case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District attorney's Office, according to the release.
A parish member said the incident was discussed at Easter Sunday services and that a church official said the employee had been fired.
