Builder Program

The virtual Builder Program at the Wond’ry helps university-affiliated innovators (students, faculty, staff, and alumni) with validated early-stage ideas. Builder is the perfect next step for graduates of the Sullivan Family Ideator Program and those wanting to learn how to launch a venture or pursue licensing.

Program Information

  • Requirements

If you did not complete the Wond’ry’s Ideator Program, you must submit a log of customer interviews completed, insights gathered, and a document that lists your value proposition and initial customer segment.

If you did participate in the Wond’ry’s Ideator Program, but did not achieve problem-solution fit by the end of that program, you will submit the same information listed above to show how you were able to find a value proposition for a defined customer segment through additional evidence gathered after Ideator concluded.

Participants are required to attend all sessions of Builder if they want a chance to pitch for microgrant funding. Further expectations include:

    Attend all live sessions
At least 20 customer discovery interviews

    Weekly mentor meetings

    At least 1 office hour

    All content and discussions

  • Pitch Day

There are seven sessions, not including Pitch Day.

At the end of the program, a pitch day will be held and participants will have the opportunity to pitch their idea to a group of high caliber judges composed of business leaders, investors, and accomplished entrepreneurs.

Microgrants will be provided for a number of teams that excel in the Builder Program.
