The deadline to submit pitch applications is 5:00 PM PT on October 6, 2020.
While the event is recommended for startups* who have already secured at least $250K in funding (venture capital, friends and family, angel investors, grants, etc.), we welcome and encourage companies of all stages to apply. Companies selected to pitch may be eligible for up to $1 million total in available potential capital from Amazon’s Alexa Fund. Each finalist will also receive Amazon startup perks, like Amazon Web Services (AWS) credits. All Raise will guarantee acceptance to their bootcamps and create an All Raise cohort where finalists will have access to resources and stay engaged as a group.
- Applications due: 5PM PT on Oct. 6, 2020. We will notify companies of selection by end of October. Companies selected will go through pitch practice and pitch recording prior the event.
- Pitch competition: November 19, 2020, 9AM PT
*Areas of interest include voice, robotics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, commerce, financial technology (fintech), voice developer tools, education and learning technology, enterprise collaboration, gaming, entertainment and social, internet of things (IoT) and consumer devices, health and wellness, mobility, deep tech / frontier tech, brain-machine interfaces, and smart home.
Companies that apply and are subsequently invited to pitch are not guaranteed investment. They are eligible to be considered for investment after undergoing a full company diligence process if selected by Alexa Fund. Event Terms and Conditions also apply. We will evaluate each startup application on the following criteria:
- Strength and passion of management and technical team
- Value proposition of core product / service and clarity of customer pain point addressing
- Strength of technology and/or science innovation
- Competitive differentiation
- Category size and underlying growth
- Progress and business traction
- Ability to raise future venture capital funding
- Strength of future integration and/or partnership with Amazon Alexa and/or Amazon Devices (e.g. Amazon Sidewalk, Fire TV, Ring, Kindle, Fire tablets, Blink, Echo devices, Amazon Halo); ideally, the integration or partnership will support frequent, recurring usage of Amazon Alexa and/or Amazon Devices
- Openness to mentorship and coaching
- At least 1 C-Level Co-Founder who identifies as a women inclusive of non-binary individuals, genderqueer, genderfluid, gender non-conforming, LGBTQIA+, all minority genders, military and former military.
