Our generous and talented Design Center has designed and created nine one-of-a-kind handmade mosaics that we’re auctioning off to help feed the hungry. 100% of the proceeds collected from this auction will be donated to Feeding America. New Ravenna has made a separate donation to our local Food Bank, the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia. The auction closes at 8p EST on Thursday, June 11 and winners will be contacted on Friday, June 12.
Richard Walters, CEO, on the decision to create the “One of a Kind” auction, said, “New Ravenna has always believed it must play a constructive role in our community. As we thought about how COVID-19 was affecting our community and the world, we realized hunger was a growing, if less visible, consequence. Our master mosaicists immediately volunteered to create custom works of art to help raise funds for Feeding America. Several of the mosaics were created while the artisans were home, sheltering in place, thinking about not only the issues that challenge us, but the beauty and inspiration that unite us.”
