Green City Works, in collaboration with Drexel University, is immediately hiring temporary Laborers to construct and install specifically designed planter boxes on residential streets in Hunting Park, North Philadelphia.

Position Overview:

Adhering to safety guidelines, Laborers will work in teams which are led by experienced woodworkers to construct the planters. The planter boxes are being built as part of a heat risk reduction program. Each box includes a built-in bench, umbrella attachment, soil, and vegetation. They will be constructed and partially assembled in a temporary woodshop in Hunting Park. They will then be transported to residential blocks in North Philadelphia to complete assembly and installation.

Hours and Shifts:

This is a temporary position expected to last for 6 weeks.

If hired, you will be expected to commit to work Monday through Friday, 7am-3pm.

Pay:

$15 per hour plus $2 hazard pay.
