Results
Lancaster, Pa. – Stockton University competed in the Coach I Open at Franklin & Marshall College on Saturday. Competing predominantly against other NCAA Division III teams, the Ospreys won four men's field events and posted several other strong finishes on the day.
Edward Dennerlein (Chatham/Chatham) won the shot put (16.44m) and finished second in the weight throw (15.55m) behind teammate
Darren Wan (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT), the event winner.
Keith Holland (Bayville/Central Regional) won the pole vault (4.57m) and
Hunter Daly (Florence/Florence) won the high jump (1.90m).
Qudratullah Qadiri (Ocean Twp./Ocean Twp.) finished third in the pole vault on a tiebreaker at the same height as Holland (4.57m). Qadiri also placed sixth in the 60m hurdles (8.70 seconds). In addition to Dennerlein's win in the shot put,
Tom Strychowski (Lanoka Harbor/Lacey Twp.) finished third (15.06m) and
James Flasser (South Plainfield/South Plainfield) was fifth (14.36m).
For the Stockton women's team,
Jeanmarie Harvey (River Edge/River Dell) was the runner-up in the pole vault (3.20m) and
Susann Foley (Tabernacle/Seneca) finished second in the high jump (1.64m).
Jy'Asia Bivins (Toms River/TR South) placed seventh in the 60m dash (8.30 seconds) and eighth in the long jump (4.96m).
Rachael Leyrer (Dorothy/Buena) finished eighth in the 60m hurdles (9.84 seconds) and
Charlotte Leon (Northport, N.Y./Northport) was 12th in the weight throw (13.48m).
