Dunbar dominates Ballou in trenches, marches to a Turkey Bowl win

All season, Dunbar’s style of football was defined by patience, leaning on a bruising offensive line to create slow, steady marches down the field for which few teams had an answer.

And on Thanksgiving Day at Eastern High, that patience paid off with a 28-7 win over Ballou to take the Turkey Bowl crown, a victory made sweeter after the D.C. Interscholastic Athletic Association public schools title slipped through the Crimson Tide’s fingers a year ago.
