Roberto Hernández Center’s 6th Annual UWM Bienvenida: New Latine Student Welcome on Friday, August 16th, 2024.

The Roberto Hernandez Center (RHC) is committed to supporting Latine students through graduation and will be hosting our annual UWM Bienvenida: New Latinx Student Welcome event on Friday, August 16th at 10:30 am.
Students should arrive before start time and plan to stay until at least through 4:30 pm. Full agenda of activities and this is not a drop-in event. There will be a networking celebration to follow until 5:30 pm.
At this event you will:
- Meet the RHC Staff & other UWM campus partners and resources.
- Learn important information from RHC Success Coaches
- Network and build community with other new incoming Latine students.
- Hear from and connect with current Latine students and other Latine professionals at UWM.
All students who attend will get a free ‘Yo Soy UWM’ t-shirt!
We also recommend that you bring up to two guests with you to Bienvenida. Your guests should be your parents/guardians, or anyone who will be a strong support to you during your time in college; they will get their own unique experience.
NOTE: The Bienvenida event is separate from New Student Orientation (NSO) and Transfer & Adult Student Orientation (TASO). You must also attend/complete NSO/TASO before you can enroll in classes at UWM. Bienvenida is open to any NEW and Re-Entry Latine student who is taking classes in Fall 2023 at the Milwaukee Campus.
