apprenticeships

Apprentices are emerging studio artists who work 15 hours per week working and learning in the tile, pottery, and community studios in exchange for a private studio space, 24 hour studio access, access to firings, experience, knowledge, and critique. Outside of work hours apprentices are expected to be actively making their own work in the studio. Minimum time commitment is typically 12 months. Studio apprentices are not provided room or board, and may take on a part time job to offset the high cost of living in Northern California. Applicants must be self-sufficient, exhibit an ability to work well with others, have a good studio work ethic, as well as a working knowledge of ceramic studio practices, and an interest in developing their career. We are currently accepting applications! To apply send a current resume, two letters of recommendation, 5-10 images of your work, and a statement of intent describing what you hope to gain from this opportunity to Forrest at flmceramics@gmail.com
