Description

On the afternoon of Thursday, November 9, the Place-Based Education Conference will offer a Climate Change Colloquium from 4–6 p.m. The event will begin with a 30-minute panel discussion, including a Q&A segment, moderated by Shelly Irwin (host of the WGVU Morning Show). Following the panel discussion there will be a brief interlude reception with assorted snacks and beverages.  Attendees will then have the opportunity to join one of several roundtable discussions with panelists on specific topics related to climate change.

Colloquium Panelists:

Attendees of the PBE Conference Climate Change Colloquium should gain:

  • a better understanding of climate change (including each panelist’s “niche” in that field)
  • a more accurate vision of what the future may hold for us, given the predicted trajectory of change/impacts
  • an understanding of how we can best prepare ourselves and support others—whether as individuals, as educators, or as organizations/institutions.

SCECHs Available: 1.25

This event is free to attend, but it helps us with planning if you let us know you're coming. Please RSVP at the link above.
