Betty White was the oldest actress to appear on The Golden Girls.

One of the most popular American sitcoms of its era, NBC's The Golden Girls aired from 1985 to 1992, with a total of 180 episodes over seven seasons. The show centered on the lives of four older women who shared a home in Miami, Florida.

The Golden Girls garnered much critical acclaim, and in addition to three Golden Globe Awards for the series itself, each of the four stars won an Emmy award in their own right. In 2013, TV Guide ranked the show number 54 on its list of the 60 Best Series of All Time.

Betty White played the role of Rose Nyland on the show, and was its oldest actress. Now 97, White is the only surviving member of the cast.
