Draft PDS-01 MINHERS® Addendum 61f, COVID-19 Pandemic Exception for Onsite Airtightness Tests

Interim Addendum 61i currently authorizes an exception for airtightness testing that is intended to apply only during the COVID-19 Pandemic and applies only to the determination of ratings for the RESNET Home Energy Rating System, (HERS). The exception allows use of default values in lieu of conducting air tightness tests for dwelling unit enclosures and duct systems as well as for measuring airflow of mechanical ventilation systems in accordance with Standard ANSI/RESNET/ICC 380. The exception will end based on expiration of the federal emergency declaration. Proposed Addendum 61f will the final version of Addendum 61 when completed. Note that programs other than the RESNET HERS® may not recognize this test exception.
