"Now, 25 years later, a much-needed anthology of Raging Fire's recordings has arrived to secure their legacy in the digital age. Everything Is Roses 1985-1989 is a collection of all the band's vital recordings, many of which are previously unreleased, some having been painstakingly mastered from dusty old cassettes. The vinyl packaging is stunning, with a lavish 12-page booklet full of notes, lyrics, photos, show fliers, etc., plus a 26-song download.”

'Today they would probably fall under the broad label of “indie rock." Having a strong, charismatic female singer in Melora Zaner, who often focused lyrics on literate and Southern gothic themes, set Raging Fire apart from the herd and also gave the band a feminine edge. They were challenging and certainly different than everything else out there . . . for those in the know they had an original sound that was unrivaled and damn good.'

-Neil Ferguson,  Glide  July 20, 2015

As a seminal part of Nashville’s early 1980s underground scene, Raging Fire merged DIY punk with feminism and southern culture for a style that foreshadowed the modern rock of the 1990s, but was ultimately too far ahead of the curve. In 2015, the surviving members of the band released an anthology on CD and vinyl of re-mastered record tracks, compilation cuts, and unreleased demos entitled Everything is Roses: 1985 – 1989 to national critical acclaim and made a triumphant return to live performance at the historic Exit/In.

Since then, the reformed band with Joe Blanton and Jeff Cease on guitars and bassists Les Shields, John Reed, and Rusty Watkins, have continued to play together and recorded tracks in Berry Hill with engineer/producer Mike Purcell for a new record. Entitled These Teeth are Sharp this limited edition record features all new recordings of recent as well as vintage songs and will be avaialble everywhere May 12, 2017.
