Jan. 25 report on confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the campus community

Four additional students and one employee have tested positive for COVID-19 since our last report on Jan. 22.

Three of the students were tested on campus, and one was tested off campus. All four are campus residents and are in isolation on campus. The employee was tested off campus and is in isolation off campus.

The College conducted about 1,370 tests on campus from Jan. 15 – 22, primarily of students who are required to produce a negative test before they can attend in-person classes or use campus facilities this spring. Our current positivity rate for on-campus testing since Jan. 1, 2021, is just under 1%.

Ten cases are currently classified as active in our campus community. Fifteen students are presently in quarantine on campus, and six students are in isolation on campus.

Nine students and nine employees in our on-campus population have had confirmed or presumed positive cases of COVID-19 since Jan. 1, 2021.

Our community can stay up-to-date via our COVID-19 dashboard, which includes tallies of current active cases, total cases last week, total recoveries, on-campus testing statistics and positivity rates, and information about students quarantining and isolating on campus.

This dashboard does not include information about positive cases among students taking online courses from home, or employees who are telecommuting and not coming to campus, as any such cases should not pose an on-campus health risk.

We will continue reporting new active cases of COVID-19 in our campus community (defined as students or employees who have been on campus and may have infected others) in the Daily Digest email newsletter and on the COVID-19 dashboard, Monday – Friday throughout the spring 2021 semester.
