Get your rods and reels ready for Farragut’s Youth Fishing Rodeo, Saturday, May 11, at Anchor Park. Kids ages 12 and under are invited to create their first fish stories that can be told for years to come at the 40th annual Bob Watt Youth Fishing Rodeo. Spend the morning baiting your hook and casting your line while competing for prizes. This event is free and open to the public. Register at https://townoffarragut.recdesk.com/Community/Program starting April 1. There are two timeslots available: 8-9 a.m. and 10-11 a.m.

The Town of Farragut will provide limited worms for bait, and a limited number of fishing poles will be available for use during the event. Poles will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis; participants are encouraged to bring their own poles. Participants may also bring their own bait.

Anchor Park is located at 11730 Turkey Creek Road. The fishing rodeo will be held rain or shine; however, in the case of severe inclement weather, check Farragut Parks & Recreation’s social media for updates.
