If you don’t want to wait until May 2024 to see the future of PDX, grab your phone and take three AR Virtual Tours of the new main terminal.
Our animated tour guides will lead you around the airport’s new check-in stations, garden, and post-security shopping areas. Make sure to look up, look down, and take a 360° spin around the place!
Here’s how to launch the experience: If you’re reading this on your desktop, point your smartphone camera at the QR code below and follow the link that appears. (You won’t have to download any apps, we promise.) Already on your phone? Just click the link below.
Bonus: If you’re visiting PDX, you can meet your tour guides in person. Keep an eye out for the wall posters advertising the AR Virtual Tour. Point your smartphone camera at the QR code and click on the link. Immediately move your camera to focus on the poster’s animated characters, and you’ll see them come to life!

Meet the Maker: Nancy Bebek of Prestige Tile & Stone

Meet the Maker: Nancy Bebek of Prestige Tile & Stone
|
|
|
When Nancy Bebek and her son, Nick, started Beaverton’s Prestige Tile & Stone in 2009, Nancy had just acquired her contractor’s license and Nick had just finished his tile-setting apprenticeship. Chasing success, she says, felt daunting until she enrolled in the Port of Portland’s Small Business Mentor-Protégé program. Fourteen years later, Prestige’s skilled crews have installed two gorgeous tile mosaics in Concourses B and D—and they’re preparing to install four more in the main terminal. And Nancy’s now a mentor herself.

Question: Is the entire main terminal opening in May 2024?
Answer: Not quite! We’re opening the main terminal in two phases. Next May, we’ll start taking down the temporary walls inside the entrance to unveil the new check-in stations, the garden, new stores and restaurants, the mezzanine, and the security checkpoints—not to mention the new wood roof you’ve been seeing photos of. (News flash: The connector between Concourses B/C and Concourses D/E returns in May, too.) The very next day, we’ll start building new exit lanes, lounges, and restrooms, not to mention a second group of concessions. By the end of 2025, the entire PDX Next program will be complete.
