Quarantine Conversations
During difficult times like these, we turn to the arts for comfort, stimulation, and connection.  Our vibrant community of art and film lovers are always looking for opportunities to come together and celebrate the arts.
As a way to stay connected during this isolation, New Wave Productions is introducing the Quarantine Conversations, live Zoom conversations about major moments in art and film history.

These events will be free for attendees, though donations to the South Orange Performing Arts Center are welcome.

We were extremely pleased with the turnout and success of our first Quarantine Conversation, Van Gogh: The Final Days, and hope to bring that energy to our next event.

The French New Wave: A Film Revolution
On June 6 at 6PM EDT, Gerard Amsellem will host a discussion on the French New Wave, using François Truffaut’s The 400 Blows (1959) and Jean-Luc Godard’s Breathless (1960) as case studies to highlight the ingenuity and impact of the movement.  Attendees can prepare for this conversation by watching both films ahead of time and listening to the first episode of Questioning Cinema, Gerard’s new podcast (to be released May 15).
