IMAGE FROM MYLES LOFTIN'S "IN THE LIFE" SERIES FEATURED IN VOGUE FESTIVAL 2020

Myles was one of only 30 photographers worldwide selected for “All in This Together,” an exhibition organized by Vogue Italy aimed at showcasing emerging international talent. Beyond surfacing fresh new artists, the show also has a humanistic mission.

"'All in This Together' displays works by 30 photographers that are a hymn to love and hope, an encouragement to nurture and keep alive the sense of community, of solidarity and empathy that we all witnessed as the offset of a very dramatic moment in time, with Covid-19 spreading beyond borders and barriers,” writes Vogue.

The artists were selected by an international jury, and though the show was primarily digital, images from “All in This Together” were on view outside at Giardini di Porta Venezia in Milan this past November. The image Myles contributed, seen below, is from his personal series “In the Life," which focuses on what Myles describes as “the exclusion of Black queer life in photography."

"It's really been an honor to be selected for this festival,” he says. “Being able to share work like this on a global stage means a lot to me. I hope that it encourages other people to expand their ways of thinking."
