CC Educator Interest Form

Are you a CC faculty or staff member interested in connecting with community partners, needs, and resources?  Are you interested in transitioning a course to community-engaged learning?  Are you interested in community-engaged research methodologies for your scholarly pursuits?  If so, you've landed on the right page!

You're invited to participate in the Publicly Engaged, Actionable Knowledge (PEAK) Project!  This project seeks to bridge campus knowledge and community impact through connecting CC educators, students, and partners to co-create engaged courses and research projects. Read more about the PEAK project here.

Please use the forms below to share core information about the courses around which you'd like to connect with community partners.

Funding Available

For a limited time, those who participate in the PEAK Project and are successfully "matched" will be eligible to receive project development stipends ($500 each for faculty and community partners) to honor the time, capacity, and thought-work that goes into developing community-engaged learning projects.  This funding is generously provided through the Bonner Foundation's Community-Engaged Learning Initiative, through which the CCE received a grant. Funds will be offered until grant funding is exhausted.

Educator Interest Form

Personal Information
This information helps the CCE to mission-match faculty and staff with partners.
Course Information
When are you next teaching this course? Currently, we are seeking to match courses to partners for the spring of 2023. Please feel free to share courses offered after this semester; just know that we will work to match you one semester prior to the offering.
This description can be from the course catalog, or from your own syllabus.
Please list main student learning goals or outcomes.
Tell us a little bit about the students who take this course (e.g. how many, if they tend to be upper or lower division, majors or general student population, etc.).
Optionally, upload your syllabus. The more info we can share about the course, the higher the chance we'll be able to find a partner that is a good fit.
Interest in Community-Engaged Learning
Why are you interested in incorporating community-engaged learning into the course?
Are you open to a long-term partnership for each time you teach the course, interested in partnering for just this course, or do you want to see how it goes before deciding?
Are you interested in working with a single community organization or multiple? Put another way, are you looking for a shared learning experience for the full class, or several experiences for individuals or small groups, to bring diverse perspectives into the class?
Would you prefer for students to get off-campus and directly interact with community members, and/or open to indirect, project-based work from campus?
Please use this space to share anything else about how you imagine community-engaged learning to fit into your class. This information will be shared with partners to help them to envision ways they could work with your class. We encourage you to remain as open as possible so you can co-create the class with community partner(s); and, please be upfront on anything partners would need to know from the get-go. For example, if you want to make this an opt-in or required experience, if it must take place within certain dates (e.g. week 3), etc.
