DSA Professional Development Scholarship
The DSA Training & Development Committee is thrilled to offer the *NEW DSA Professional Development Scholarship!
We are committed to providing professional development opportunities at Grand Valley as well as outside the institution for all Student Affairs staff. Therefore, this scholarship provides funding to staff within the Division of Student Affairs for any in-person or virtual conference of their choice (with or without presenting).
*Please note, this is a pilot program for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Eligibility & Guidelines
- Any professional staff member (AP, PSS, Adjunct) of the Division of Student Affairs is eligible for this scholarship opportunity.
- Must attend 2 DSA Training & Development events (2021-2022)
- Must complete application
- Must submit a report or present to DSA colleagues on learning after conference attendance

- Staff can receive this scholarship once every 2 years
- This scholarship is meant to cover registration costs up to $900
Approval Process
- Application review will be prioritized based on conference date
- DSA Training & Development Committee reviews all scholarship applications
Application
- Applications are due 3-4 weeks prior to registration deadline (or 3-4 weeks in advance of early bird rate deadline)
- An email from your direct supervisor indicating support is required
