Developed right here at Duke, Koru Mindfulness is an evidence-based program specifically designed for teaching mindfulness and meditation as way to manage stress and reduce anxiety.

KORU BASIC

An introduction to mindfulness and meditation. Taught as a weekly, 75-minute class over four weeks by a trained Duke Koru Instructor.

KORU 2.0

An advanced class for students who have competed Koru Basic and are eager for more mindfulness. This course consists of a weekly, 75-minute classes taught over four weeks by a trained Duke Koru Instructor.

KORU RETREAT

A half-day mindfulness retreat for students wanting to try an immersive, mindfulness experience.

What our students are saying:

"A year ago I went to CAPS due to stress and began taking prescribed medication to help me sleep at night. I don't like taking medication so wanted to find other ways to manage my life. I completed two Koru classes, began meditating on a daily basis and enrolled in a Tai Chi class at Wilson. I am no longer taking sleep aides. This has been my best semester at Duke. I basically changed my whole lifestyle. It is not about how much stress I have in my life because now I know how to manage my stress." - Dylan
